To prepare for taping, a scoring device removes approximately 10mm of protective film from both ends of the sheet. This leaves a visible score line, which is standard practice and does not affect the material quality.

5.5.1. For roofing applications, accessories will cover this score line. For other uses, if you prefer no score line, please request sheets without pre-taping. Tape can be purchased separately for manual application.
