Storage

TIPS

We send most goods wrapped in protective packaging to avoid damage during transit. When the delivery has arrived, you will need to remove the outer packaging.

Do not store plastic goods in direct sunlight. Goods stored in the plastic outer packaging and/or in direct sunlight, particularly in the summer months, can warp making the goods unusable.

Store panels and accessories horizontally, on flat sturdy surface, in a shaded place avoiding direct sunlight, ideally indoors in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area.

IMPORTANT

Make sure to keep your polycarbonate roofing sheets away from heat, moisture, and chemicals.

We do not recommend storing goods outside. However, if you do, cover securely with a white opaque polyethylene sheet and store in a cool shaded place to avoid solar heat buildup between the panels and accessories.

Do not leave goods outside where any rainfall or water can reach.

Before installation, ensure your goods are clean and dry because any small amount of moisture can turn into condensation once installed.

Wait until you have a nice warm, dry day for installing the material.

Goods damaged due to improper storage or installation will not be accepted as ‘damaged’. Refer to our Terms and Conditions.

ESSENTIAL ACCESSORIES FOR SHEETS

Apply aluminium tape to the top of the sheets and anti-dust breather tape to the ends of the polycarbonate twinwall / multiwall sheets.

It is critical this tape adheres properly to thepolycarbonate twinwall / multiwall sheets.

It is essential that you use sheet closures to cover the ends of your exposed polycarbonate twinwall / multiwall sheets as it forms a weatherproof seal to the end of the material preventing water ingress.
