BASIC INSTALLATION TIPS

Sheet Closures are sometimes referred to as End Closures, Finishing Profile, U Channel etc. They are used to finish the exposed ends of the polycarbonate sheets when fitted, typically used at the lower ends (nearest the gutter) but can also be used for the top end if required.

It is essential that you use sheet closures on your polycarbonate roof as it forms a weatherproof seal to the end of the sheets preventing water ingress and aids in maximum lifespan of the polycarbonate sheets.

Pull the PE protective film approx. 50mm on both side of the polycarbonate sheet. This allows for space to work without removing the full protection whilst installing.
Apply Aluminium Tape to the top exposed ends of the sheets.
Apply Anti-Dust Tape to the bottom exposed ends of the sheets.
Measure the width of your polycarbonate sheet. Where required, cut the sheet closure to match the size using a Hack Saw or Chop Saw.
Run a generous bead of the silicone along the top section of the sheet closure.
Push fit the sheet closure onto the polycarbonate sheet to allow a snug fit on the surface of the sheet.
Note the sheet does not sit flush at the back of the sheet closure. There is an internal track that stops the sheet from touching the back of the sheet closure.
