Clear Polycarbonate H Sections are a budget friendly, extruded joing profile designed primarily for the use with twinwall and multiwall polycarbonate sheets. It can also be used with solid polycarbonate sheets when properly supported. Ideal fort temporary structure or projects like polytunnels, this H Section offers flexibility, making it a great solution for arching applications.
While H Sections are a cost-effective option for some application, we recommend our Snapdown Glazing Bars for roofing projects. Snapdown Glazing Bars are more durable and provide a longer-lasting, weatherproof seal for most permanent roofing needs.

The H Section’s flexibility allows it to curve seamlessly along the arches of polytunnels, providing a secure and consistent join across the length of polycarbonate sheets. This makes it an excellent choice for joining sheets end-to-end in temporary or seasonal constructions.
Installation and Support
H Sections are commonly used for joining polycarbonate sheets along their length to create extended coverings. For proper installation, ensure the H Section is supported by a timber purlin and properly sealed with silicone to maintain a watertight seal. Since the H Section is not self-supporting, it requires additional support to prevent collapse. Without sufficient purlin support, the structure may not hold up under the weight of the polycarbonate sheets.
